  • Vol. 16 No. 2 (2021)

Welcome to the December 2021 issue of the Journal of English as an International Language!

This issue is a reiteration of EILJ’s steadfast commitment to fostering a plurality of research agendas and interests that are consistent with our pedagogies and practices in the teaching of EIL. The engaging array of papers presented in this issue demonstrates our authors’ determined attempts to propose and signpost new routes of inquiry that chime in with EILJ’s declared mission of promoting locally appropriate, culturally sensitive and socially attuned methodologies and materials in EIL. It is our fond belief that such unceasing exercises would add particular momentum to EILJ’s democratization and dehegemonization of English across the cultures and continents of the world.
