About the Journal

The English as a Foreign Language International Journal, an academic Second Language Acquisition Research Journal, is published regularly and presents information, theories, research, methods and materials related to English language acquisition and English language learning. The Editorial Board is managed by Professor John Adamson. There are over 200 international editors on this Board. The Journal is globally unique – submissions are thoroughly reviewed by highly qualified academics. Submissions are of various types:-

  1. Free to Submit and will be reviewed without charge by our dedicated editorial teams. Accepted papers will be published free.
  2. Conference. Occasionally the English as Foreign Language International Journal will hold Research and Publication conferences /seminars where the audience listens to experts in the field of SLA research and publishing. Papers will be invited discussing research breakthroughs and may be published FOC
  3. Conferences where we partner with a recognized university. Select papers will be published after the review process. Conference fees from the university may be applicable.
  4. Special editions. We accept applications from academics who wish to gather papers for a Special Edition. In the first instance, the Chief Editor will decide if that Special Edition is acceptable to the journal.
